Eye of the beholder
They say "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
But, we must first make the beholder ourselves!
Sometimes we don't see our full beauty..
We only see what we want
and its crazy how we don't see what others see!
I was talking to my therapist about smiling more and the exchange allowed me to see myself from a different lens.
During our talk she asked me questions and when I thought about the answers.. they were simple!
I created this anxiety around smiling
But in reality, people compliment my smile all the time.
I denied myself admiration and only thought about my personal feelings.
And doing that turns you into your own worse enemy!
This therapy session sparked the beginning of embracing my insecurities and making them the greatest parts of me.
